Lena spent her Sundays preparing large meals for her family, often using vegetables grown from her own garden. She especially looked forward to springtime when her and her husband William would head to the sugar bush to collect sap and boil it into maple syrup. She enjoyed bingo and played every Tuesday and Sunday. She had a positive outlook on life and was always ready and willing to lend a hand and help those in need.
